It was Christmas day. In the Old Town Market Square, I found here so much more decorated than Krakow. | The birth of Jesus Christ was on display. Christmas has turned into a consumeristic holiday over the years, but this is the real meaning of Christmas. | |
And as night fell, I came back here. The Market Square was brilliantly and beautifully lighted up for Christmas. |
In front of the birth of Jesus Christ, so many people gathered to see it. I enjoyed every moment I was here. |

I have been to such Polish towns as Warsaw, Krakow, and Gdansk, but I feel that Wrocław has more statues and sculptures than elsewhere in Poland. And those are so unique! These people are coming out from the earth. May look scary in the dead of night. |
And across the street, there was another group coming toward this way. These people were sinking beneath the earth to cross the street. Very interesting. |

Inside Kościół św. Elżbiety, St. Elizabeth Church, I found the birth of Jesus Christ on display, with hordes of sheep. |
Uniwersytet Wrocławski, the University of Wrocław, with a reflection in the half-frozen Odra on which swans were walking. |
