So in the early evening after taking a walk around DePaul University campus, I saw people eating and talking at the patio. At a glance, I didn't know what it was. Then I recognized a sign in the window that read "Bourgeois Pig Café." I instantly liked the name of this Café as well as the look of this place which definitely gave me an impression of a cozy place from outside. |
Yes, inside it has a very friendly atmosphere. I was rather surprised to see the chalk board menu listed lots of different varieties to choose from. |

I ordered Grilled Panini with Mozzarella & Tomato and a cup of Mocha. I went upstairs and had them - they tasted pretty good! |
The room upstairs was filled with old books, antiques, and students studying, reading, or chatting with a friend. It is more like an old schoolhouse. The whole ambience here reminisced me of my school days. It was just amazing! |
