Nothing much has changed here in Oak Park - I mean it in a good way. It is the home of Frank Lloyd Wright and the birthplace of Ernest Hemingway, situated just west of Chicago. |
Frank Lloyd Wright's designed fountain, called Horse Show Fountain, is located at the entrance of Scoville Park. It used to be surrounded by flowers. Where are they gone? |
Scoville Park is a bit hilly and there is the World War I Memorial at the top. |

Ernest Hemingway Museum stands on the northeast corner of Scoville Park. It displays about the his life of Hemingway in this town including his photos and letters. |
From the Museum about a few minutes walking north on Oak Park Avenue, there is the birth home of Ernest Hemingway. The house looks ordinary though. |
And several minutes away from Hemingway's birth home, there is the boyhood home of Hemingway on Kenilworth Avenue. It looks a bit bigger than his birth home. |
