Huge crowds were gathering at the Astronomical Clock Tower in the Old Town Square, awaiting an every-hour show of figures of the 12 Apostles. I got there at around 11:45AM and could get a closer look! At 12:00Noon sharp, the Apostles started show up very slowly. It was simple, but must have been strenuous work when these wooden carvings were created in the medieval age. | |
From the ground I could see people up at the top of the Clock Tower, so I soon climbed to the observatory. This is the view looking down from the top of the Tower. Another large crowds were already found for 1:00PM show of the Apostles.

Up here I enjoyed the beautiful panoramic view of the Old Town and all the way to Letenske sady and to Petrin Hill.
