The parade lasted over an hour. After having seen all those processions of marching bands, floating balloons and various people in costumes, I was very tired.

Behind me was the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden where I wandered looking at public arts. This hare with long ears was titled, “Thinker on a Rock” by Barry Flanagan, which reminded me of Rodin’s “The Thinker.”
