I walked around a few side streets and found old houses made of red brick. It was very beautiful with big trees and star-spangled banners. |
I saw one of the houses in the neighborhood that installed a Betsy Ross flag with 13 stars in a circle representing 13 colonies. This was my first time to see an actual Betsy Ross flag.

This stately church called Christ Church was built in 1773. George Washington, the first US President, used to come to services here. |
After having wandered around and towards the Potomac River, I wanted to stop for a drink somewhere and found a Starbucks' sign at the red brick colonial style house. What a neat and quaint Starbucks this was! |

Walked down to the banks of the Potomac. Across the river is Maryland. There is a riverboat service to National Harbor, MD. |
It was very peaceful place. George Washington might have seen the same scenery from here. |
