Day 3 |
|
The Sant Bartomeu, the St. Bartholomew church, is the symbol of Sóller. It stands in the main square of Sóller. I stopped at a few shops nearby, and headed for the Jardí Botanic, the botanical garden. | Walking through the residential area of Sóller for about 15 minutes, I reached the botanical garden. The spire of the St. Bartholomew church could be seen very well from here. | On the way, there were also a school, a small church, and orange trees. I found the neighborhood very nice. |
I kind of got the impression that this botanical garden had more "wild" flowers than botanical gardens I had been. | This I believe was Miró's art surrounded by various cacti. | And this section of the garden was more like a farm field. |
On my way back, I saw a house with very beautiful flowers. | ||
