I roamed around the Gold Coast residential area early in the morning. Here is Chicago's one of the most historical areas known as Astor Street District. This house is the oldest in neighborhood - it has many chimneys! |
Some of the houses have unique stone texture. As I was walking around this neighborhood, I realized some streets were named after such distinguished German writers as Goethe and Schiller. I imagine that the first settlers of this area were Germans. |
