Chicago - Architecture

The stately statue of Nathan Hale stands at the entrance to the Tribune Tower. It is a replica of the Hale statue I saw in the Old Campus Quad of Yale University. The color of the statue is different though.
I had not realized when I was here last (or there had not been here), but this time I noticed fragments of structures from a variety of historic spots throughout the world embedded in the façade of the Tribune Tower on the ground level. Among them is the Giza Pyramid around 2000BC. Others chunks include the Berlin Wall, the Parthenon, Notre Dame Cathedral, etc. I think most people overlook these stones.
And on the Pioneer Court side of the Tribune Tower, I found the steel debris of the World Trade Center collapse. So unbelievably bent. Shuddered.

The Apple Store on North Michigan Avenue is worth visiting. I found the Apple staff here very so friendly and the store so spacious. The structure of this building was so unique that I enjoyed walking under a skylight of the building.

A superb location! The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago is ideally situated on the Lake Shore Drive, very close to Lincoln Park facing Lake Michigan. Right next to the Polish Consulate, there is the International Museum of Surgical Science.

There are things that have changed and things that haven't. And yet, Chicagoland always makes me feel at home...That's why I keep coming back here!
